Lunar Legacies

Danielle Dallas Roosa of Back To Space kindly invited me to join space historian Andy Chaikin and an amazing panel of the children of Apollo astronauts to talk about the legacy of the first human missions to the moon, and their thoughts on the future of lunar exploration. Their personal stories are all incredible — including the daughter of the first American in space, who recently flew in space herself. I hope you enjoy watching it here on YouTube.

A while ago I was at the home of Sally and Kelsey Poor, the wonderful folks who run Novaspace — and I noticed they had a vintage 1980s space shuttle jacket. I remarked that this was a jacket I’d dearly wanted as a kid, and if they were ever selling one, to please let me know.

This week, there was a box on my doorstep — they had gifted it to me.

I’m blown away by their generosity, and can only encourage you even more than usual to check out the amazing space-related goodies they carry on their web site.

And here I am doing my best, cheesiest 1980s pose while wearing it…
